Swiggy is building a talented, efficient workforce to address a constantly changing set of unsolved problems in the area of Food Discovery and Delivery. Online food delivery is an extremely high-involvement, time-constrained transaction with no room for error. It comes with its own unique complexities and dynamics that are considerably different from other forms of E-commerce. Swiggy provides food-delivery services from restaurants in the users' vicinity on its website as well as on a mobile app available on both Android and iOS platforms. Swiggy was started in August 2014 by Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy, both alumni of BITS-Pilani, and Rahul Jaimini, an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur. Swiggy is solving some real time interesting problems such as building a scalable platform to support lakhs of orders, building a delivery platform to optimize the delivery fleet, an awesome concept of a cloud kitchen infrastructure, building a lot of data service API's to support orders, tracking and fulfillment of orders. Swiggy, unlike several other food ordering platforms, has its own delivery fleet consisting of smartphone-equipped personnel, guided by an app powered by routing algorithms, who pick up orders from restaurants and deliver them to customers. Key responsibilities: - Focus on mid to long-term performance improvement projects in Operations team - Central owner of Delivery Executive (DE) attrition, DE payout, and DE engagement for Swiggy. - The role will own and manage SMILES program (Swiggy's DE loyalty program) - The role will own Delivery NPS for Swiggy. - Responsible for setting up the retention strategy for Delivery Executives DEs - Build DE segmentation framework and approaches to drive improvements of retention metrics in different segments - Set up and manage initiatives to manage driver experience across cities and monitor the efficacy of each - Manage 4-5 members team - Build and monitor strategies to drive DE payouts higher than defined thresholds An ideal candidate would: - Be a generalist having worked across different problem statements, typically at a scale - Have a management degree from a top-tier b- school and graduation from a good engineering/commerce/science college - Have worked for at least 5 years post-b-school in a consulting/general management/P&L role - Be very strong at analytics and problem solving- both structuring the problem and at an execution level - Be a great program manager, who can work with various stakeholders in the system and drive execution
