Swiggy - Director - Business Finance (8-10 yrs)

This position will be a part of the Business finance team with people management responsibility reporting into the Head of Business Finance to drive the financial planning for the delivery operations of the company. Key responsibilities include Long term strategic planning, driving targets with the functional teams, preparing & managing the quarterly & annual operating plan, setting up process & control, Operational & Financial metrics analysis, and leading a team etc.

The role combines elements of strategy as well as execution at an operating level working in close tandem with business leaders in delivering the overall P&L of Swiggy across growth, economics and customer experience.

The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have demonstrated the ability to effectively manage the finances and support growth and expansion of new businesses.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Strategy / Planning : Work Closely with the Business Leadership to create the financial / strategic goals for the organization and subsequently partner with functional leaders to set the AOP for the function

Operating Reviews and Governance :

a) Create review frameworks for monitoring and tracking the key financial and business metric viz-a-viz the plan and highlight the key risks in the business performance.

b) Review, and present the Monthly and quarterly plans to the management team.

c) Run weekly reviews with the functional leaders to monitor monthly and quarterly performance

Problem Solving / Business Collaboration :

a) Create ROI frameworks for new and existing projects/programs to ensure sound financial decisions are made,

b) Identify leakages in the system and formulate processes to plug them and ensure that these cases are not repeated in future,

c) Work with business teams to drive effectiveness and efficiency in investment programs

People and Performance Management : Set the vision and direction of the team by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals

Desired Skills :

- 8+ Years of experience post qualification in Business Finance / Strategy Finance

- Master's in Business - Finance/Strategy or CA is preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and influence cross functional teams

- Self-starter who can take ownership of deliverables with minimal direction and develop new ways of approaching business problems

- Continuous improvement attitude and fast learning ability

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
