About the Organization Swaniti Initiative is a social enterprise that aims to deliver development solutions by working in partnership with the parliamentarians and central/state/district governments. We leverage on-ground presence and the use of data and technology tools to strengthen the last-mile delivery of programs to the most vulnerable populations. About the Position We are looking for an experienced professional who is keen on taking up a project manager role in policy research and advocacy role in the development sector. The Project Manager (PM) shall provide strategic inputs to the governments like recommendations for policy formulation and administrative reforms at different levels and shall oversee the team members working in close coordination with various partnering organizations for the aforesaid motive. The PM would have to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of team members in the deployment of resources and management of the team's functioning. The PM will also be expected to strategically identify projects and ensure the appropriate monitoring and impact assessment of interventions. Qualifications - Post-graduate degree in any field with Public Policy, Law, Governance, Development Studies, Economics, etc. - Minimum 4 years of work experience in the development sector/government with a strong preference for those working on issues of air pollution/clean air policy, renewable energy, etc. - Minimum 3 years of prior experiences in research roles - At least 1 years of experience of working in a leadership position where team size was bigger than 3 members - Prior experience of working with multilateral agencies and large foundations will be favorably looked upon. Responsibilities - Writing research papers on various topics of national and international importance - Conducts policy research and analysis to support existing projects as well as proposals for new bodies of work; synthesizes research findings to identify and recommend best practices. - Extracts collects, and aggregates data across databases, information sources, survey responses, and other data sources; ensures data quality; cleans and checks existing data for consistency and accuracy. - Develops data visualizations for diverse audiences and develops, formats, and prepares reports, charts, and/or graphs for varying documents and written and oral presentations for both internal and external audiences; collaborates with teams to design and help integrate data into an approved format. - Conducts data standardization processes; proactively identifies and proposes alternatives to improve the stability, performance, and accuracy of the data. - Assists in coordinating, administering, analyzing, and reporting on AAU surveys. - Assists with one-pagers and topic briefs to support the team's work. - Assists in efforts to improve internal information tracking systems and enhance the policy department's collaborations and communications on integrated activities with other members of the staff. - Communicates through social media about relevant data and policy issues pertinent to the department. - Contributes professional expertise and experience concerning science policy, higher education policy, and other policy areas most relevant to research universities. - Conducts background research and data support for team initiatives. - Track project timeline, deliverables, and internal/external partners across multiple projects and teams, proactively communicating progress and potential challenges to supervisors and project teams. - Collaborate with the media and communications team for creating posts on topics related to the broader policy department.
