Position- AM/ Manager Fund Raising  Reporting to - Director Fund Raising  Responsibilities: The role will include the following core responsibilities:  FUNDRAISING:  1. Develop and deliver a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy for the organisation  2. Set and achieve realistic time-bound fundraising targets, agreed in consultation with key staff (program teams etc.) and the Trustees  3. Create a sustainable and diverse fundraising portfolio, with funding streams including individuals, major gifts, corporates, community, events, trusts/foundations & other grant-makers, with appropriate priorities  4. Lead a current fundraising campaign based around the annual Swades budgets  5. Support development of large-scale international funding proposals to international agencies viz. DFID, USAID etc.  6. Prospect research & develop a comprehensive fundraising database - capture all relevant information  COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA:  1. Develop standardised fundraising materials and publicity collateral for pitching and awareness  2. Co-own a regular quarterly newsletter to share with current funders  3. Continually seek new and appropriate contacts & partnerships with relevant individuals / organisations  FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT AND REPORTING:  1. Lead communication with key donors and funders with the aim of cultivating, growing and sustaining long-term funding & collaboration  2. Ensure reporting by the team/Asst. Manager to funders is accurate, transparent and timely  3. Review proposals and also be able to create the same as and when required  4. Understand and analyse costs / budgets and question program spends proposed for funding  5. Oversight on project budgets with implementation teams and costing structures for donors  Experience and Qualifications: The candidate is expected to possess the following:  - Track record of securing funding for charitable/NGO activities from a variety of funding streams (desirable)  - Exposure to working in the sector (social services) or directly with an NGO (preferred)  - Relevant experience of 2-5 years with total experience of ~5-10 years (desirable)   - Excellent personal networking and connections with potential major donors and supporters (essential)  - Any graduate / post graduate - MBAs welcome.  - Experience in for-profit sales role - desirable but not mandatory  - Experience in making project proposals, pitches and presentations  - Good exposure on report writing and working on MS Office (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)   Personal Qualities: In all aspects of this role the following are essential:  - Solid planning, time management and organisational abilities  Able to work under pressure, meeting key project and reporting deadlines  Adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances and needs of the role  - High motivation and ability to work independently on agreed goals and targets   - Ability to also work effectively as part of a small close-knit team  - Pro-actively take self-ownership of the overall fundraising programme / activities of the organization  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good writing skills (desirable)  - Commitment to confidentiality  Please Note- Occasional travel to Raigad (field-site: donor visits, internal/external events etc.) will be required.
