SVP - Corporate Strategy/Global Corporate Strategy


Key Responsibility Areas:


- Develop strategic ideas and insights that reflect relevant market conditions and challenges, as well as the ability to knit these together into a actionable, coherent strategy that at the corporate and business unit levels

- Formulate the company's strategy by framing clear strategic choices, soliciting the perspectives of the organization's senior leaders, driving to alignment, and articulating a comprehensive resulting corporate strategy

- Outline a clear path forward and resolve the choices the company faces in an actionable and internally consistent manner

- Define and lead the near- and longer-term growth, profitability, and viability of the company

- Socialize the organization's strategy with executives and key stakeholders in order to build consensus on key issues before communicating more broadly

- Stress-testing and embedding the existing strategy to designing a new one, if qualified

- Evaluate to move into adjacent markets and/ or create transformational new businesses, Or is the company's main goal to maintain the core business to keep it healthy

- Identify company appetite for strategic partnerships and alliances priorities of organizational leaders - their core projects, valued relationships, and aspirations. Aid to navigate such terrain and create strategy and consensus around it

- Identifying the agendas and relationships of leaders and stakeholders, and for framing critical strategic choices

- Act as the sentinel, should routinely sense and monitor industry trends and events and in the world to identify the most relevant signals & filter out any noise they encounter about change and disruption

- Interpret, after identifying the most pertinent events, trends and uncertainties and understand their implications for the organization's competitive strategy via long- and medium-term scenario plans and points of view about the best future direction of the company. The planning process should be driven by facts including competitive intelligence

- Work across the entire organization to design and implement strategy. This requires interacting with the executive team, business lines, corporate development and support functions to

- Drive corporate and business unit alignment around the key choices embedded in the strategy, and translate those choices into specific actions for stakeholders

- The role rarely drives direct control over the resources of business lines and departments

- Build/lead internal strategy department (partner with external international strategy advisory firms as required)

- Primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders to keep leadership apprised on the progress of strategic initiatives

Skill & Qualification:

- Around 20 years of experience

- 10+ years in the corporate strategy domain in international markets for multi-national companies

- MBA with bachelor of engineering from premium college

- Technology/Telecom industry Domain desired priorities related to strategy require to wear many hats and to be careful in selecting those hats

- Be a master/ be conversant in, a wide variety of skills. These include conducting top quality analysis, learning how to operate across the diverse parts of the company, and asking the questions that lead executives in strategically sound directions

- Exceptional analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills essential

- Lead multiple line of business with 200+ Mn$ top line

- Worked with international advisory firms/big4

- Has worked on strategy presentations and conducts executive-level workshops and planning sessions

- Demonstrated success working both independently and in highly collaborative environments
