Job purpose :

The primary purpose of this position is to learn / study current / upcoming ESG standards, new & upcoming technologies aligning to JM Sustainability strategy, extend expertise and support to accordingly identify, facilitate/ execute multiple tasks / projects / initiatives related to sustainability in partnership with internal / external stakeholders, to achieve the JM Sustainability Strategy and Net Zero Vision

Principal accountabilities :

Accountable for the delivery of planned outputs and benefits to specification within agreed budget and timescales

Key responsibilities :

- Study various Internal and External Sustainability / ESG guidelines, National / International Policies and Standards, as well as JM's Sustainability Strategy to prepare local auditable procedures (LAP) for its implementation and conduct gap assessment for preparation of action plan for its implementation

- Coordinate with the local sustainability champions for the implementation JM Sustainability strategy through local LAPs and action plan arising out of gap assessment

- Coordinate to prepare documented local sustainability strategy and identification of long-term short-term projects to meet JM's Sustainability strategy and vision

- Establish baseline and facilitate the identification of Sustainability projects in-line with short-term and long-term strategy

- Develop KPIs, measurement systems and monitor the progress on periodic basis and develop case studies to report the JM's performance on Sustainability

- Develop training materials on key sustainability topics for JM employees and Management

- Train the teams on various ESG guidelines, raise awareness on JM's sustainability goals and enable employees to streamline the data collection for current and future internal / external reporting

- Carry out feasibility studies, basic & detailed engineering studies or appoint and coordinate with external experts for the same

- Prepare RFQs and proposals for various sustainability projects. Identify and evaluate the requirement of consultants, project partners, 3rd party experts

- Organize regular cross-functional team meetings, maintain effective communication channels among JM local and global team members, engaged third parties and other stakeholders

- Work in close coordination with project team members and other interested stakeholders for implementation of sustainability projects

- Provide project insights by means of regular and ad-hoc reports and/or analyses for managing project reviews

- Evaluate and close the projects, identify, and analyse lessons learned, ensure completion of project objectives, realisation of deliverables, etc. to ensure meeting JM's Sustainability vision

- Develop and maintain an internal Sustainability Hub, Yammer on my JM to communicate Sustainability information, initiatives to all JM employees, participate and represent Panki in various competitions designed for individual employees and sites

- Support the preparation of the non-financial sections of JM's Annual Report, Sustainability Reporting, and other sections as per local and global requirement

- Coordinate for implementation, continuous improvement, reporting through ISO 50001, 14001, GRI, CDP, UNGC, UNSDG, CDP, Carbon Footprint, Water Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment, Supply chain sustainability

Scope :

- Individual will work closely with other Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Projects, HR, Supply chain, Procurement, etc. team members and site management team as well as Group EHS, Sustainability and Product Stewardship Resources as appropriate to the duties being undertaken.

- Individual will work to site rules, policies, procedures as required. This role is key to maintaining and improving site EHS & Sustainability performance through effective execution of duties within the safe system of work.

- Individual will be one of the key contributors in driving JM's Sustainability Agenda and meeting overall vision of Net Zero for JM at Panki

Person specification :

- Qualifications/ knowledge/ experience (Technical/ professional knowledge and skills competency):The job holder must have a graduation in Engineering / Technology or Post-graduation in Science / Economics. Masters in Sustainability Management is added advantage : Essential

- The job holder should be able to influence key stakeholders in the business to be able to champion change and drive teamwork across teams without positional power/line management authority :Desirable
