Our client, a globally recognized diamond and jewelry company, is looking for a Planning Manager to join their team in Mumbai. As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the planning function, including demand planning, supply planning, procurement planning, and production planning. Your primary focus will be to ensure optimal and healthy inventory levels at all times, while also ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products.

Responsibilities:

As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

- Leading the demand planning process, which includes developing a demand forecast and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to ensure that product supply meets demand

- Leading the supply planning process, which includes developing a supply plan to meet demand, coordinating with production teams to ensure timely delivery of products, and identifying any potential supply chain risks or disruptions

- Leading the procurement planning process, which includes developing a procurement plan to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and other supplies needed for production

- Leading the production planning process, which includes developing a production plan to meet demand and ensuring that production is completed on time and within budget

- Developing and maintaining inventory projection models to achieve optimal inventory levels and minimize stock unavailability and sales loss

- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize supply chain processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives

- Utilizing advanced analytical skills to develop forecasting models, analyze inventory data, and generate reports to support supply chain decision-making.

- Establishing and monitoring adherence to stock keeping norms to ensure optimal and healthy inventory levels

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or IT; an MBA in Operations or Supply Chain is preferred

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and supply chain management, with a proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end planning processes

- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting/planning and inventory analytics

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
