As a Supply Chain Professional, you are responsible for the supply chain. You have knowledge of purchasing, logistics, planning and inventory management. You plan, coordinate and monitor the flow of goods and services from our suppliers, both internal and external as well as outsourcing. You ensure good communication between the various parts of the chain and you ensure that Purchasing actively and proactively contributes to the competitiveness of the company. You are also constantly analyzing and improving the relevant procedures and processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Strategic aligning. The (joint) translation of the chosen business strategy to the purchasing policy, purchasing objectives and action plans.

- Shaping and implementing contract and supplier management.

- Preparation of derivative supplier strategies for the short and medium-term.

- Manage and analyze the SPS data and implement corrective actions in the event of deviations and follow these up.

- Optimal design and improvement of value chains. Lowering the TCO, increasing availability, reducing risks and improving other elements that affect competitiveness.

- Tracking and mapping of supplier market developments and price developments.

- Initiate and realize cost control and (TCO) cost savings.

- Ensuring optimal stock levels and timely availability of goods, materials, outsourcing and services.

- Drawing up and checking short, medium and long-term purchasing schedules.

- Visiting new and existing suppliers to assess competencies, developments, performance, opportunities for improvement, compliance and compliance.

- LTA and / or framework contracts creation and preparation with all main suppliers of critical products and or services.

- Negotiating with suppliers about concluding contracts.

- Developing Make or Buy issues in consultation with the Management Board.

- Settlement of penalty clauses and compensation claims in consultation with the Management Board.

- Advising internal needs adjusters on purchasing solutions.

- Optimize the cooperation between purchasing, operations, planning, and logistics.

Profile candidate:

- Completed relevant higher professional or university education (logistical, economic or business education).

- AP Certified APICS CSCP or CLTD (or willingness to achieve CSCP).

- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of logistics, operational and / or other processes relevant for supply chain management within the metal and engineering sector.

- Excellent communication skills in speech and writing (both Dutch and English).

- Proactive, hands-on and result-oriented.

- Analytical and able to connect, motivate and activate people.
