Supply Chain Manager - Analytics
Position Summary
- Resourceful and motivated individual for leading the Strategic Analytics team. This team leads the initiative to harness customer data in addressing strategic issues that materially impact our client’s business.
- The primary responsibility for the Senior Manager role is conducting statistical analyses in support of our marketing and strategic initiatives.
- The successful candidate will have strong consultative skills in addition to quantitative ability. As well as also be exposed to the challenges of using statistics in a business setting, such as incomplete data, biased data, large data sets, low signal-to-noise ratios, high variance and multiple objective functions.
- Requires being creative and resourceful and we will utilize traditional statistical methodologies as well as newer techniques from computational statistics and data mining.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop statistical models to support marketing efforts, such as customer segmentation, acquisition and retention
- Develop statistical testing programs to measure and improve on-going performance of marketing campaigns
- Apply appropriate techniques, such as exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis and so on
- Develop and articulate strategic recommendations based on rigorous data analysis
- Partner with Marketing and Finance to understand business problems and marketing strategies
- Partner with IT to implement models and tests
- Deep understanding of the inventory / spare parts management
- Past experience with tools in the inventory / spare parts management
- Appreciation of underlying business fundamentals in the supply chain domain as well as Operations Research area
- Deep project management expertise

- Team building and people management skills
- Proficiency with MS word, excel and PowerPoint
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of analytics resources to ensure that deliverables are met with quality and in a timely fashion.
- Performance management of the team
- Adhere to client SLA’s
- Past history of leading consulting project engagements in supply chain area is a basic requirement – preferably in a client-facing role and for supply chain modeling projects. A minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain space is desired with at least 4 years of work in inventory management or supply planning areas.
- Hands-on experience with at least one relevant industry tool is important (e.g. i2, Logic Tools, Llamasoft etc.).
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of general business experience, including 3-4 years of quantitative analysis in a business setting, including building statistical models
- MS in Statistics, Data Mining, Econometrics or related fields; MBA helpful, Engineering degree or a Supply Chain Degree or an Industrial Management Degree.
- Should have consulting skills/ project management experience
- Strong ability to extract strategic insights from large data sets
- Desire and ability to collaborate with business partners
- Industry certifications such as APICS CPIM / CSCP/ CFPIM would be a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Must be Proficient in SAS and SQL
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Systems administration skills a plus
