Job Responsibilities: 1. Setting objectives for the account receivable team that align with the accounting department's goals 2. Monitoring processing of invoices 3. Ensuring timely collection of payments Job Duties: - Accomplishes accounts receivable objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures. - Setting up targets and KPI's for Accounts receivables executives and monitoring targets vs performance and take corrective actions. - Meets accounts receivable financial standards by providing annual accounts receivable budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. - Negotiates dues with past due accounts. Collects accounts by contacting customers referred by clerks; investigating circumstances of non-payment; negotiating and resolving conflicts; expediting payment. - Has prior experience in handling AR retention collection - Analysing and referring accounts to collection agency where required. - Supports financial planning by forecasting cash. - Updates receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions. - Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls. - Maintains accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc AR reports - Regular reconciliations of accounts and co-ordination for obtaining balance confirmations. - Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks. - Working knowledge of taxes related to withholding taxes and tax collection at source, Goods and Service tax. Stay updated on industry and legislative changes affecting collection. - Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Skills and Qualifications: - Supervision, Staffing, Financial Software, Forecasting, Confidentiality, Managing Processes, Developing Budgets, Accounting, Thoroughness, General Math Skills, Process improvements. Experience: Needs to be a graduate with 8-10 years of overall experience in collection with a monthly collection of 20 crores and 3-4 years of experience as a supervisor.
