About the role:

Food technologist:

Food technologist's inputs are core to growing business. What will you do:

- Check and improve safety and quality control procedures at own and suppliers' factories, from the raw material stage through to the finished product.

- Select and validate the raw materials and packaging materials for NPD complying to National and International standards from suppliers.

- Coordinate and provide support for developing, refinement of products to meet the consumer needs.

- Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products

- Strong command to establish product specifications, Labelling, documentations and approve

- Audit suppliers or manage internal audits.

- Run trials of new products - either alongside or together with product development

- Evaluate products' characteristics and shelf life for implications on quality.

- Sound Knowledge in HACCP, GXP and compliance with all ISO,BRC,FDA and FSSAI regulations.

- Guide testing activities to ensure appropriate test methods and conditions are employed.

- Perform physical and chemical analyses of various food items in on-site QA laboratory/Manufacturing sites.

- Select and validate the raw materials and packaging materials for NPD complying to National and International standards from suppliers.

- Author and execute test plans, validation protocols and reports, technical transfer reports and standard operating procedures for develop methods.

- Establish product specifications and documentations

The Candidate must have the below skills and knowledge:

1. Domain knowledge (formulation/technology transfer/ innovation) to convert ideas into the final product.

2. Optimize and scale up manufacturing operations for new products & Maintain recipes.

3. Provide support in the design, development, refinement, and implementation of products by initiating research to identify consumer needs, developing new products to meet consumer needs, researching consumer acceptance of products, and working with production facilities to identify process improvement.

4. In-depth knowledge of Product Labelling and Product analysis.

5. Validates quality standards for all Raw materials & Packaging materials and NPDs with international standards, guidelines & tools.

6. Carry Knowledge in HACCP, GMP, and compliance with all major international and local FDA regulations.
