Subject Matter Expert - Insurance
1. Location: Hyderabad
2. Experience: 3 to 5 years in Insurance (Life / Non-Life) company and 12 to 15 years in IT industry
Brief Scope - Business Consulting, Business analysis, and Proposing Solutions for core insurance software products, processes, and also custom development
1. Qualification :
Academic & Professional:
- Field of Study - Commerce, Computer Science, Insurance, Management
- Certification- Relevant to Business Analysis, Insurance (P&C / Life)
Key requisites:
- Confident in stakeholder management, including experience in handling global stakeholders i.e. from an international exposure perspective.
- Good business solution and presentation skills i.e. presenting a solutions/ideas/ proposal to stakeholders
- Expert level knowledge in insurance domain (P&C and/or Life & Annuities) with hands-on experience in Insurance core systems (specifically Policy Administration Systems), business processes and custom development
- Strong English proficiency with good communication skills is a Must
- Experience with international insurers (as a BA / Domain Expert) will be an added advantage
2. Skills & Attributes
The following skills are required to be successful in performing this position:
Skills & Attributes :
Must have :
1. Core Insurance software product knowledge (Ex: Guidewire, Duckcreek, eBaotech, Life 400, Ingenium, ALIS etc ) with hands-on experience, preferably product implementations In USA/Australia
2. Business analysis skills required to write and close requirements / use cases/business requirements documents / functional specification documents
3. In-depth insurance business operations knowledge/business process & workflow design/ business process reengineering, improvement experience
4. Knowledge and awareness of various technologies utilized in the insurance domain
5. Ability to work independently
6. Good presentation skills
7. Ability to provide a solution for RFI/RFP/RFQ point of view
Nice to have :
1. Technology project management
2. Exposure to global insurance practice and products
3. Knowledge of IT trends in Insurance
4. Exposure to working with international insurance companies is added advantage
Key Responsibilities :
1. Independently manage insurance business consulting/business analysis/requirements/specification assignments and where required lead a team of BAs
2. Leverage industry and domain knowledge to drive delivery excellence (best practices, quality principles, best in class technology and tools, productivity, analytics)
3. Drive growth, create GTM and work with Sales team for different geos.
4. Work with multiple stakeholders e.g. delivery leads, account management, clients and operational excellence teams
5. Engage directly with Clients (Senior Executives, Business and Technical Users)
6. Provide Business solutions and where required, business consulting
7. Provide pre and post-sales support (RFI/RFP/RFQ/Customer demos/Solution presentation etc)
8. Provide support to sales team in opportunity pursuit by participating in business and sales strategy planning and execution
9. Prepare and deliver thought leadership assets like white papers, research papers
10. Support insurance practice related initiatives
Travel As needed for short durations (10-15%)
