Strategy Insights & Planning Consultants create and deliver high quality solutions for our clients and project teams. They possess unstructured problem solving skills as well as strong analytic, synthesis and communication skills. SIP Cs apply problem solving frameworks to client issues, support clients in change initiatives and employ standard analytic techniques to help guide client decisions. Consultants may work on multiple projects simultaneously. As Consultants advance in their career, they often specialize in a specific industry, practice area and/or client relationship.

Responsibilities:

- Work with project leadership to define project scope and develop approach

- Formulate hypotheses and design custom analyses that can be used to solve the problem

- Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions to client business problems

- Develop and apply statistical models that help clients understand dynamic business issues;

- Effectively summarize analyses or research output to clients and internal teams highlighting insights and present outcomes using Excel, PowerPoint, proprietary software, among others

- Drive problem solving and advance sales + marketing capabilities.

- Build subject matter expertise in order to understand the overall business of the client and execute similar projects more efficiently

- Lead large teams for project task execution by ensuring progress, organizing project data and coordinating team meetings

- Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and practice areas

- Participate in business development

- Contribute to internal firm activities

Qualifications:

- 4-7 years of experience with an MBA and a bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical discipline, such as Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics or Engineering. In lieu of an MBA, 5-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute

- Evidence of strong analytic work (including use of advanced modeling techniques and tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, or VBA)

- Aptitude for analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with a creative outlook

- Comfortable with unstructured problems

- High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative

- Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, leading and managing teams

- Strong oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers

- Empathy, adaptability and emotional intelligence

- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset

- Client service orientation
