Strategy Head - Business Conglomerate - IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI/CA

Our client is one of India's leading business conglomerates, with presence in several segments, looking to hire Strategy Head for one of the Business Groups headquartered in Chennai.

The role with work directly with the MD, focusing on defining strategy and building capabilities. Will be responsible for bringing in new perspective to the business, scanning the local and global environments for trends, opportunities, Merger and Acquisition's and challenging underlying business assumptions.

Accountabilities:

- Lead the development of the long-term strategy of the company

- Identify new growth opportunities / business verticals for the company

- Design and manage the strategy planning process for the company

- Anchor strategy implementation for the organization monitor and communicate progress, prepare strategy presentations for the Board, conduct workshops and planning sessions for leaders etc.,

- Liaise with outside advisors and consultants for strategy formulation and execution

- Continuously identify growth opportunities by sensing and interpreting market and environment shifts

- Maintain a viable pipeline for M&A and partnerships. Drive the M&A agenda and negotiations and deal transactions

- Take charge of specific high-impact initiatives and drive them across the organization

- Support business model innovation and new business incubation as aligned with the strategy

Desired Profile:

- BE & MBA from Premier Institution or CA 

- Around 12-18 years of experience in strategy formulation, financial analysis, market research and data analytics, feasibility studies etc. Ideally from a global consulting firm or in a large industrial house. Previous work experience from Consulting Firm is a must.
