Strategy Associate - FinTech

Based out of New Delhi, India, the Company is a venture backed Fintech company focusing on personal loans. The business is funded by marquee investors from financial services sector based out of India, Singapore and USA. The core team has graduate degrees from top universities globally such as Upenn, Columbia, IIT, London Business School, etc. The management team has 40+ years of cumulative experience in finance with firms such as Deloitte, Merrill Lynch, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Kabbage, and Lehman Brothers. The Founder of the Company was a private equity and VC investor with firms such as General Atlantic, Goldman Sachs and Everstone and was based in India and New York. The founder holds an MBA from Wharton.

Job Description :

- The Associate will work directly with the Founder and the senior leadership team of the Company. The role offers a tremendous opportunity to build a career in a fast-growing fintech industry or to prepare for an MBA with top Business Schools in the world. - The role involves cross-functional experience across various verticals such as Product, Operations, Sales, Finance, HR, and Marketing. The role also involves assisting in investor relations, fund raising negotiations, building memos, building detailed financial models, MIS reports, and presentations and negotiations with key partners. The role also involves domestic and international travel to represent the company at industry events and interacting with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

- Drive Strategic projects within the company such as new product development, operational efficiency

- Negotiate and drive deals with other participants in financial services

- Develop Presentations and Excel Business Models

- Contribute to the growth and expansion of the Company

- Create market maps and track global innovations

- Assist in investor relations

- Represent the firm in industry conferences in India and overseas

Skills required :

- Proficient in preparing presentations on PowerPoint, developing financial model on Excel

- Highly motivated with an immense desire to learn. Has ability to adapt and learn quickly. Mature and self-starter with strong communication skills

- This role involves significant modeling work and the ideal candidate should be comfortable handling large excel sheets

Experience : At least 3-4 years of prior experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.

Work Authorization : The role involves full-time work based out of New Delhi, India. The Company will assist successful candidates in relocation and applying for work authorization if needed.
