Implementing & Managing Strategic Pricing Process - 40%

- Develop pricing strategies at macro and micro level in-line with business strategy. This involves evaluating AOPs against market indicators, business strategy, internal variables & open opportunity for next 12-18 months, holding workshops with stakeholders and arrive at the pricing strategy that is used as a baseline for all negotiations during the coming year.

- Responsible for managing the strategy and tweaking it periodically based on market and business conditions/response.

- Lead large contract negotiations. Build a tactical framework, get internal alignment that may require coaching high-level stake holders, develop a negotiation strategy, train customer facing sales/commercial personnel & if needed, be part of the customer-facing negotiation team

- Develop and utilize pricing models and pricing tools

- Creatively identify and execute on margin improvement projects to improve profitability.

- Recommending pricing moves and competitive responses

- Evaluate win/loss data for early signs of a change in market behavior

- Drive effective price communications

Business Results - 20%

- Responsible for achieving financial objectives for the business (Contribution Margin $$)

- Responsible for improving the quality of the earnings by utilizing pricing concepts like Economic Value Added, Brand Profit pool share, Lifetime value of a customer & pocket margin.

Leadership - 20%

- Provide clear guidance, support, leadership and where required change management in the execution of the different pricing processes in achieving the different product lines short term objectives and longer term strategy.

- Partner with key stakeholder functions Product Line Managers, Commercial managers, Sales, FP&A and Supply Chain

- Guide the Pricing analysts in the execution of the different analytical processes, dashboards and reports.

Process & Technology 20%

- Implement and provide governing oversight over the strategic pricing processes. Hold the pricing team and stakeholders accountable to the process

- Provide guidance and be ready to get involved in implementing technological solutions for automating processes

- Maintain pricing subject matter expertise, staying abreast of developments and best practices

Education, Experience, Skills : University degree & MBA

Experience :

- Minimum 7+ years experience in one or more of the following: Pricing, Revenue management, Commercial Management, Trading, Business Development, Operations, Sales, PLM, Supply Chain

- 5+ years profitability analysis and pricing economics experience

- Great with numbers & high Analytical skills

- Process mindset

- Strong communication and influencing skills. Ability to present in front of business leadership.

- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity and potential to go beyond the described role as the team responsibilities evolve

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels and functions of the organization

- Technology oriented Individual

- High Business and Commercial Acumen and demonstrated capability and track record

- Overall business knowledge, including activity based costing and standard costing knowledge.

- Strong Business & Commercial Acumen

- Considerable working knowledge of multiple functional areas such as supply chain, procurement, finance, operations, etc. and demonstrated ability to integrate information across those fields

- 5-7 years experience in setting pricing strategies for B2B companies

- Proficiency in using pricing tools like PROS, Zilliant, Vendavo, etc.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications

- Proven strong negotiation skills

- Proven ability to behave in accordance with Cargill values and ethics

- Experience with production or manufacturing environment

- 5 years of experience in food/Ag industry

Technical Skills :

- Hand-on mentality, analytical skills and business development / project management skills

- Fluency of English is a must a desired outcome

- Financial knowledge for P&L and margin/price decision making
