Strategic Lead - Environment/Social & Governance (8-15 yrs)

As Strategic Lead (Environmental, Social, and Governance) you will be responsible for developing/ supplementing and implementing the Company's ESG strategy and initiatives. This includes setting goals and targets for sustainability and social responsibility, and ensuring that the is meeting or exceeding those targets..

Your Operational Function will be :

- Provide technical analysis and review of energy conservation and sustainability projects and programs, identify risks and opportunities, make recommendations for continuous improvement and communicate findings with program stakeholders.

- Manage transition process of new incoming hotels for all ESG practices.

- Lead and manage third party vendors and national account partners, as required, setting clear expectations, accountability, data analysis and reporting Periodically visit and audit properties as part of continuous improvement initiatives.

- Manage other departmental tasks and initiatives, as assigned

As Strategy and Planning lead you will:

- Subject matter expert for cross-functional stakeholders for all aspects of ESG and sustainability matters, including emissions, energy, water, waste, community and workforce engagement programs.

- Develops strategy for value-add energy conservation and sustainability programs across portfolio, with the ability to develop and present the business case for new programs.

- Drive forward-thinking operational improvements and property/portfolio level through the identification and implementation of ESG initiatives via hands-on coaching and teamwork

- Update and implement systems, procedures and work practices to ensure "audit-ready" state of compliance with company and regulatory agency policies

- Provides leadership, process, technology platforms and strategies to assist properties to minimize consumption/expenses and increase profitability Create and distribute sustainability engagement content at a regular cadence that promotes workforce engagement across energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements for this role:

- Ability to think out-of-the-box and bring creative, unconventional, and innovative solutions to the table

- A background in hospitality would be a plus

- Keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills

- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills

- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships

- Ability to lead with confidence

Education


- Engineering/ Masters/ Business Administration or a professional degree
