Basic Purpose of Job:

The Global Pricing Team is a dedicated function within the Finance organization under the Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

The Finance COE Specialist will assist teams around the world in determining the impact of pricing considerations when State Street bids for new client service mandates.

The Pricing Analyst will serve as a central support resource for the Pricing Center of Excellence (PCOE). In this role, the successful incumbent will collaborate with members of the PCOE and other business stakeholders (Sector Sales, BU Leadership and Relationship Management) to lead and support activities relating to costing and pricing of new and existing business.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

- Work with the PCOE Lead and regional PCOE members to ensure consistent methodology & presentation of pricing results and look for enhancements to current models and processes

- Manage & perform new and existing deal cost models in conjunction with the individual business units and the BU CFOs while ensuring compliance with pricing policy

- Provide insight to Sector Sales, the BU management team and other Finance teams into the nature of the new business impact (incremental, fully loaded impact; fixed vs. variable costs, etc.)

- Perform deal postmortem analysis, collaborating with business partners and the Client Profitability COE

- Cross train with Pricing colleagues to provide coverage and assist when assigned

- Assist in advancing firm-wide pricing initiatives

- Produce reporting for the management team(s) and CFO relating to current pricing activity

- Partner with teams on synthesized value-add insights, trend analysis and firm-wide impact of upcoming new mandates

- Participate in independent review and analysis of pricing strategy

- Quality-checking models for mathematical errors and for consistency across businesses/regions/products

- Build and maintain a data repository of previous deals that can be used for value adding analysis and enhanced internal benchmarking

- Drive independent conversation and calls with Senior leadership

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

- 3-5 years of experience within Financial Planning & Analysis, with at least 3+ years supporting Financial Services; MBA/CA or secondary education preferred

- Experience in pricing decision support at a financial services firm or service company

- Excellent understanding of key financial statements, Expense Allocations specifically of a bank

Skills/ Knowledge:

- Working Knowledge on Salesforce more on Finance side

- Strong executive presence, detail oriented and well organized, strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work, ability to interact and manage expectations from Senior Management

- Have solid problem solving skills as well as written and verbal communication skills

- Strong financial modelling skills and PowerPoint experience, knowledge of systems a plus (Essbase, Longview, Oracle, etc.)

- Must be able to easily shift between individual and team oriented deliverable and groups, be a strong team player and have a client focused approach

- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, ), advanced levels of excel (Macros, pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices)

- Self-motivated, self-assured, and self-managed

- Results oriented ownership mindset

- Ability to multi-task and work under high pressure deadlines
