Job Description - 

- The Investment Strategy Analyst position is a highly visible role within SSgA's Investment Organization working with the Investment Strategy Team to ensure our capabilities provide durable and compelling value propositions across geographies and client types through time. In this capacity, the Investment Strategy Analyst plays an integral role in analyzing key performance and risk drivers to ensure alignment with the investment team's core capabilities and value proposition. In addition, the Investment Strategy Analystis expected to monitor and report to the team on external market developments, factor performance and strategy performance. It is essential that the candidate has deep and broad investment understanding across asset classes.

- As a core part of the role, the Investment Strategy Analyst will also help manage the Quarterly Business Review, Investment Review and associated management reporting for the SSGA Executive Management Group.

- The candidate must be able to multi-task, collaborate across teams, and have an entrepreneurial mindset in addition to having a combination of quantitative and qualitative skills.

Specifically the candidate will be responsible for:

- Working with the Global Investment Strategy Team in understanding and monitoring all SSGA investment strategies through quantitative and qualitative tools

- Creating and delivering reports on market, factor and strategy performance

- Assisting in the management of reports for the Executive Management Group

- Analyzing key performance and risk drivers across the various SSGA business lines

- Contributing to portfolio strategy in conjunction with research, portfolio management and product management teams

Qualifications - 

- Minimum 3-5 years of investment management industry experience

- Knowledge of Barclays POINT, FactSet, eVestment and Morningstar Direct

- Critical understanding of financial theory and empirical research, CFA/CAIA preferable

- Ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders

- Positive, collaborative attitude with a strong team orientation

- Ambitious self-starter, able to perform in a team environment

- Experience in a similar role, academic qualification and/or professional designation essential
