The Client Profitability and Analytics Team is a new dedicated function within the Finance organization under the Global Head of Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (FP&amp;A). The Finance COE Senior associate will assist teams around the world in determining the impact of pricing considerations when State Street bids for new client service mandates. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for building and constantly improving the pricing models used by the global Client Pricing team in conjunction with sales people throughout the world. These models are the foundation of pricing decisions made when entering into engagements with new and existing clients. In addition to supporting the Excel models, this person will be the primary liaison to the IT Developers building an interactive web-based pricing model and will support that web-based interface as well as the intranet site maintained for pricing endeavors globally. 1. Client comparisons to check for MFN conflicts and ensure competitive pricing 2. Run - worked examples- for RFP's to detail the calculation of fees that the client will pay 3. Extra sensitivity analysis during live RFP projects (excluding NIR &amp; FX, reduced NIR, x% Fee increase/decrease, additional services etc) 4. Building Excel-based models that can be rolled out as new products are developed 5. Developing macros for speeding the navigation of large Microsoft Excel workbooks 6. Creating means to quickly link separate workbooks used by different teams working on global deals 7. Quality-checking models for mathematical errors and for consistency across businesses/regions/products 8. Updating models for latest unit costs 9. Analyzing our expense base and building up unit costs for new opportunities 10. Working with control functions in any model validation exercises 11. Build and maintain a data repository of previous deals that can be used for value adding analysis and enhanced internal benchmarking 12. Drive independent conversation and calls with Senior leadership Education and Experience : - 6+ years of experience in designing, editing, and auditing Excel macros in supporting Financial Services; Post Graduate with secondary education in cost accounting preferred - Experience in pricing support at a financial services firm or service company - Experience in Financial, Planning &amp; Analysis field is preferred - Prior experience using multidimensional databases Skills/ Knowledge : - Knowledge of work-sharing/collaborative tools such as Microsoft Sharepoint - Must be able to work in a fast paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, ), advanced levels of excel (Macros, pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices), Excel VBA - Self-motivated, self-assured, and self-managed - Results oriented ownership mindset - Excellent communication skills - Ability to multi-task and work under high pressure deadlines
