Starwood - AVP/VP - Legal - Transaction Documentation - Structured & High-Yield Investments

1) Understand commercial assumptions & objectives driving the deal, and work actively with external legal vendors to design ideal combination of transaction documents to clearly reflect the desired commercial terms & outcomes in a water-tight and secure manner, and deliver such transaction documents in a timely manner.

2) Initially evaluate existing investments and recommend changes to existing transaction documents to strengthen existing position/ perfect security.

3) Maintain archive of all documents; certify completion of documents for funding

4) Report to the CEO initially, and after the organization scales up with external money, report to the General Counsel

Requirements:

1) High comfort to work with structured investments of all kinds & deep understanding of all investment instruments relevant in India

2) 3-7 years experience in a reputed legal firm or an investment team in drafting transaction documents

3) In addition, due diligence experience particularly as part of commercial DD teams (and not just legal DD) will be appreciated

4) Either relevant legal degree from NLS/NALSAR, or CA/CS + legal degree from any other college
