Startup Incubation Manager

This is one of the most prestigious opportunities in the start up ecosystem. Please read carefully before applying.I am looking to hire someone who has done a successful start up, worked in start up incubators or worked in the VC space. The candidate will be heading the startups incubated and and execute them to grow into successful companies.

He should be familiar with the Gujarat (Ahmedabad) Start Up ECO system and has been part of the startup activities. He should be able to run connect functions, technical workshops and community buildup. He should be able to find his way all the way through.

Some one who is willing to roll up sleeves,is a great team player, highly motivated, good at maintaining relationships both internally as well as with external partners.

Having great team management skills is also an important aspect. There will be a lot of travel involved too for corporate engagements and connecting with VCs, Policy Makers in the government etc.

- Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders,

- Comfortable donning many hats - operations, marketing, communications, finance,

- Broad understanding of technology and startup landscape.

- Responsible for ensuring that the incubator is running at the highest efficiency.

There will be regular events also conducted and getting senior folks from the industry, VC background to these engagements is also an important part of the job.

- Someone who can not just transform ideas into execution but also motivate team members to do so will be preferred.

- Being a team player is an important aspect of the job. Understanding of new IT frameworks and developments is also a key factor.

The candidate will be heading all the warehouses and execute them well to incubate 'investable' start ups.

There are large MNCs who fund the 10 k program, so the role involves them to invite them to various events, mentoring etc to start ups incubated by nasscom.

Basic Function / Job :

Responsibilities 

- Manage the full operations of the Warehouse and own the P&L

- Ensure that the Warehouse programs are running successfully and contribute to make the Warehouse a hub for startups in the city.

- Own reporting and metrics for the Warehouse

- Work with the Warehouse Steering Committee for the full success of the Warehouse

- Bring industry partners - angels, VCs, mentors, industry folks to visit the Warehouse and contribute to its success.

- Responsible for ensuring that the Warehouse is running at the highest efficiency

- Identity and curate startups for any of the Startups sub-programs

- Help in the application process for the Startups program- especially from a reporting and analytics perspective

- Work with the on-boarded startups to identify their problems and make suitable connects- investors, potential customers etc. by taking help of the Warehouse committee and leveraging the Program

- Engage with third party professionals to help startups on legal, financial, and intellectual property issues

- Own planning and executing events at the Warehouse and work with third party event partners to execute events locally

- Engage with the Startup Community at the Warehouse and ensure that the communication is seamless through the mailing list, events calendars, announcements, etc.

- Engage with key stakeholders within the State & central Government and ensure that compliance and governance issues are addressed. 

- Ensure the timely release of Government grants, sponsorship and other funds for the startup operations.
