Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance - Financial Reporting Role - CA/CWA

Financial Statements:

- Overall responsibility for the GLs financial system of the company and responsible for all aspects of finance, accounts & statutory matters, for both Indian GAAP & INDAS

- Responsible for submission of IFRS compliant financial statements for overseas shareholders

- Ensure the maintenance of company's general ledgers and all schedules/reconciliations available as required

- Oversee maintenance of financials and interfaces between systems, other applications and review reconciliation as required

- Responsible for preparations of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

- Ensure smooth conduct of audit or statutory and internal accounts and liaison with auditors to achieve timely completion of audit.

- Take ownership & accountability of all deliverables related to financial statements for audit committee, board meetings etc.

- Ownership for calculation of Required solvency margin as per IRDAI regulations, various IRDAI returns e.g. compliance with expenses of management etc.

Internal Reporting:

- Review of Audit/Board Notes & Presentations

- Review of financial highlights on monthly basis

Competitor Analysis:

- Review of peer group comparison of Financial statements

- Analysing company's financial results with respect to profits, trend, costs & compliance with budgets

- Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs

- Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Working closely with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers

Other Specifications :

- CA/CWA with minimum 10-12 years of post qualification experience in similar field

- Strong background of Financial Accounting & Reporting services is essential, inclusive of other Life insurance company & public accounting firm experience(preferably Big 4)

- Good technical accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and/or IFRS/IndAS
