Star TV - Region Sales Manager - IIM/XLRI/FMS/MDI/ISB (8-11 yrs)

CONTEXT:

Distribution business for TV broadcasters is unique in its operational excellence while being under the regulatory framework of TRAI. The Regional Sales Head is expected to drive revenue and reach for his group of customers in a particular market for which he would be the revenue and monetization leader. Will have multi-level team driving sales revenue through contracting and collections for the entire cable segment. Will also be responsible for strategic growth through market development and reach management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage revenue and growth for the team through partnerships and revenue agreements with long term deals with cable MSO/ independents

- Ensure revenue and collections are as per annual plans

- Provide inputs to cluster and branch strategy using voice from market

- Manage reach, placement and penetration of key channel portfolios in the market

- Business growth through new client/ partnerships

PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

- Incremental revenue growth over previous year

- Achievement of the assigned target for revenue and collections targets

- High % of revenue through new business development

QUALIFICATION:

- Minimum Qualification: MBA/ PG with 8-11 years of experience from Tier I institute

- Must have prior sales experience in frontline sales and marketing leadership in FMCG/ Telecom/Print or allied businesses

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- Strong leadership skills, ability to manage multiple customers and seniors

- Demonstrated conceptual selling /concept development in previous roles

- Understanding of rural sales and trade marketing

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

- Ability to identify opportunities and effectively close agreements

- Ability to roll up sleeves, work with people and get execution

- Ability to manage multiple scenarios and adhere to tight deadlines
