ABOUT THE ROLE:   CONTEXT:   - The Distribution Operations vertical is key support to the revenue function which helps drive the subscription revenue for Distribution business - through 2 sources- Cable & DTH  - The Business Planning, Analytics and MIS function under the Distribution Operations vertical is tasked with being single point team for budgetary controls, publishing periodic MIS, dashboards, performing analytics on revenue, collections, cash and compliance health from a financial and fiscal controls perspective  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  - The candidate should have the ability to transform analytic output into new differentiated insights and further be able to mobilize those insights into meaningful actions and initiatives for the distribution team  - The candidate should be able to drive Information management and automation agenda effectively through:  a) In-depth analysis of data extract actionable insights  b) Improve operational and reporting efficiency  c) Creating standardized formats and processes for collating information, designing dashboards, scorecards and BI reports  - He /she will be responsible for generating hypothesis and analyzing data and present recommendations basis findings   - The candidate will develop solutions to support and enable business   - The candidate will coordinate with other teams for information extraction, compilation and ensuring publication of periodic MIS and business dashboards  PERFORMANCE MEASURES:   - Providing seamless and accurate business information   - Driving defined processes accurately and aligned to business objectives   - New initiatives & growth drivers - linked projects  QUALIFICATION:   - MBA from premier institute / Candidates with computer science and data analytics background  - 3-5 years of experience with at least 2 years in data analytics  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:   - High on problem solving skills   - Extremely strong on complex modeling for planning and analytics  - Exposure to visual analytics solutions such as Power BI, Tableau/ Lumira/ Spotfire and analytics solutions such as SAAS/R would be a plus  PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:   - Self-driven go-getter, with ability to work on limited inputs.   - Comfortable with unstructured responsibilities.  - Lateral thinking abilities  - High analytical ability & flair for numbers.  - Strong networking with ability to drive cross-functional initiatives  ABOUT STAR   About Star India  Star India has defined the Indian media landscape for over two decades and today is one of the country's leading media conglomerates, reaching approximately 650 million viewers a month across India and more than 100 other countries.
