Context :

With over 1.5 mn consumers engaging with the content on our digital platforms everyday, we are looking at building engagement to the next level. The need is to leverage Big data expertise and DB management skills/softwares to redefine the key performance metrics which will drive our business results.

We believe that our Data Science and Analytics team will go on to innovate & redefine the existing performance metrics used at hotstar, establish new norms and bring in a whole new perspective on how data is currently being leveraged in the Digital Media industry. Key Responsibilities :

- The incumbent will be responsible for working closely with the team on Data mining and Advanced analytics to solve business problems and drive KPIs for hotstar.

- The need will be to establish completely new metrics or redefine existing performance KPI's that will take our business to the next level.

There will be direct involvement in setting up processes in areas outlined below :

- To set up the Big data Architecture that will integrate the 15+ databases we need to access

- Automation of data formats, scorecards and dashboards

- Data fusion with internal CRM, Social data and third party databases to build marketable consumer profiles

- Setting up a data validity software that is able to check on anomalies, outliers, technical and measurement issues to ensure the reported data is robust

- Work with the Sales and Media team to set-up and leverage the DMP to segment and target consumers both from a Sales and Advertiser clusters as well as promotional media segments

- User level sensitivity analysis and Modeling factors that impact watched time (key KPI) to arrive at the next 10 key initiatives to drive business results

- Cluster analysis to understand viewing clusters and segments (both on the platform and on TV) which is turn acts as an input to the recommendation engine algorithm and is used to set up the Content /programming strategy

- Drive ROI with a - divide and rule- segmented experimentative approach which tracks conversions

- Set up a protagonist/actor buzz index based on Search query volumes; Print, TV PR and Social buzz. Map shows to protagonists and dynamically serve up content basis the buzz index

Performance Measures :

- Bringing in sound Database management knowledge & R programming knowledge in the team & set up processes as detailed above from scratch.

- Working with collaborative mindset, agility and drive for execution to deliver assigned projects on time

Qualification :

- 10-13 years of experience post-graduation or post-graduation from a premier institute. Engineering / science / research background will be preferred

Knowledge And Skills :

- DB management skills and understanding of R programming
