Staples - Senior Technical Product Manager (10-15 yrs)

Summary :

- Senior Technical Product Manager serves as point for vision, strategy & road map and execution of certain products/services within Supply Chain (examples include Order Fulfillment System, Inventory Management System, Warehouse Management System)

- Has ability to develop and work through technology requirements (including user experience) with our developers in Global Technology, and also liaise with Supply Chain specific partners

- Viewed as subject matter expert in product/service that can work across business lines and own end to end execution for product/service

- Responsible for creating, launching, analyzing, and growing products/services within Supply Chain that increase long-term growth and profitability

- Influential leader who thrives on a mix of strategy, finance, execution, creativity, analytics. Manages risk while focusing on ROI

Key Job Responsibilities :

- Research, conceptualize, test, design, launch, and manage products/services to drive long term profitability

- Identify key insights and opportunities for growing engagement and revenue, and managing risks

- Partner with and lead cross-functional teams within and outside Staples

- Specify requirements and prioritize initiatives on an ROI-basis for roadmap driving projects to completion on or prior to scheduled due date

- Establish roadmap and goals, and communicate results to stakeholders

- Work closely with the development teams, and play a leadership role in architecture and design

Qualifications :

- Experience developing large scale supply chain systems, or taking a product/service through its complete lifecycle and delivering highly scalable and robust systems in a fast paced environment

- Possess excellent business judgment, outstanding written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done

- The ability to think big, manage ambiguity, and use influencing skills to move quickly and deliver results in an entrepreneurial environment is critical to the success

- Fearless but thoughtful in their pursuit of results

- Flexible and resourceful, and easily adaptable to changes in environment and prioritization

- Demonstrated people and organizational management skills

- Keen attention to detail, and ability to dive deep

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills

- Hands-on experience with querying databases in order to drive required analysis independently and swiftly

- Software development experience with supply chain systems preferred

- Prior full stack development experience, and product management experience preferred

- Experience with micro-services, agile methodologies, big data / machine learning preferred

- Experience with building and leading product teams preferred

Education & Experience :

- 10 years of applicable industry experience in leading engineering teams, and track record of meeting aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

- Undergrad / MS - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline

- MBA preferred - Supply Chain, Operations, Technology
