Standard Chartered Bank - Senior Vice President - Transitions & Integration (18-25 yrs)

Job Purpose:

A seasoned professional driving and managing all aspects of implementing the Global Finance Organisation Design (Transitions) for Plan to Perform, Reporting and Cost CoE function. These include Target Operating Model design, Restructuring & Organisation Design, Outsourcing Governance; end to end Transitions Management and Integration into BAU.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Support delivery of Finance restructuring plan, Finance Scorecard on target operating model, process standardisation, reduction of low value add activity and Business Efficiency targets

- Drive End state global process delivery model in place with supporting OD fully embedded aligned to global processes onshore and offshore

- Work with Regional, Country and Product CFOs to explore opportunities for migration of processes/roles by building compelling cases for end to end migration of processes

- Develop & Implement appropriate Onshore / Offshore Operating Model including Client Engagement Model to support the TOM implementation

- Working with both GFS stakeholders such as Global Process Managers and business partners such as CFOs, ensure implementation of the Target Operating Model (TOM) through Transitions in the Plan to Perform, Reporting and Cost CoE areas

- Project Manage transitions & integrations into BAU across multiple waves managing internal staff working with business functional leads to support the execution and implementation of project plans

- Build & Implement Transition & Integration Management Methodology, Procedures and Framework to enable transitions while adhering to Standard Chartered's outsourcing Governance and Controls

- Build capabilities such as Transitions PMO, Governance, Service Quality Assurance, Learning & Development to scale and enable large transitions while maintaining quality and adhering to appropriate Governance requirements of the Bank and GBS

- Work with Globally Accountable process owners driving standardisation and efficiency

- Ensuring compliance with SCB Operational Risk requirements throughout the project lifecycle

- Ensuring that best practices are leveraged across teams, performance is closely monitored and that issues are dealt with within the stream or escalated to senior management

- Ensure that all the critical performance targets/standards as agreed and defined under the Service Level Agreements are met / exceeded and contribute to the strategic development of GFS- collective agenda.

- Build & develop a Transitions Leadership team across Chennai and Bengaluru locations of Global Finance Services (GFS) comprising of competent specialist Transitions Leads in areas of Corporate and Institutional Bank, Cost, Retail, Management Reporting and Strategic Information Management (SBIM)

- Identify, Source and develop a Transitions team of Subject Matter Experts across various GFS locations (Chennai and Bengaluru) specialising in the aforementioned areas working with HR

- Lead and manage this team of 50+ professionals capable of delivering organisation change per quality and timeframe standards.

- Continuously develop key competencies such as financial planning and analysis, business finance support within the team to support the Finance Target Operating Model

KEY COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

- Strong Change Management and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of Performance Management function

- Experience of leading large Finance Transformation Program with demonstrable benefits and proven track record of delivery

- Experience of having developed and implemented a large scale Target Operating Model for Finance in a global organisation

- Ability to design processes and procedures which are continually reviewed, improved and changes communicated for effective implementation, with consensus of key leaders in the wider organisation.

- Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.

- Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.

- Broad spectrum knowledge of System Capabilities and Application platforms for realising business objectives, including products and services, operations, and delivery.

- Capable of initiating new processes, participate in new process transitions in coordination with the Clients and internal stakeholders

- Strong experience in identifying, sourcing and developing talent either in BAU or Change functions

- Substantial experience of banking, depth and breadth of knowledge in processes especially in the areas of Business Performance and / or Management Reporting.

- Strong ability to understand financial statements and its drivers and synthesize them into meaningful analyses. Develop analysis & interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making.

- A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.

- Ability to culturally orient in diverse & international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

- Chartered/ Cost Accountant or MBA with 18- 25 years of relevant finance experience in Change Management; Business Transformation; Restructuring & Performance Enhancement; Outsourcing; Operations (for services) Operational Excellence, Organisational Design, BPR, etc.

- Proven experience of defining and delivering large scale, multinational programmes in a banking environment

- Strong understanding of financial industry, specifically banking products and services

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills covering both senior and operational levels

- In-depth knowledge of the drivers of businesses performance and relevant key performance measures of Banking business

- Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.
