Responsibilities
- Manage Pyramis Global Advisors Engineering team
- Create and manage high performing teams effectively
- Accountable for successfully delivering assigned work to the teams with quality
- Report status on regular basis and actively manage open issues/risks
- Manage multiple stake holders
- Provide technology guidance to the team members, establish/ensure software development best practices are followed
- Report project status to Senior management on regular basis
- Installation, upgrade, and maintenance of client software
- Provide guidance around non-functional requirements and making sure teams are not carrying technology debt
- Help establish and document coding standards, tools, technical information, and guidelines
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Have overall 13+ years of working experience
- 5+ years of technology experience in application and middle tier development using technologies like Java, .NET, etc
- Familiarity with technologies like Spring, webservices, Hibernate, basics of SQL
- Object Oriented design and development including design patterns and component-based development
- Understanding of the full life cycle development process required.
- 2+ years of experience in leading team(s) within agile/scrum development methodologies
- Experience with build technologies like Maven, Hudson a plus
- Exposure to IBM’s Mainframe systems a plus
- Asset Management Knowledge into Financial Services industry preferred.
