The client is a leading pharmaceutical organization based in Mumbai.
Job purpose:
- Responsible for leading the administration and delivery of compensation & Benefits programs that are aimed at attracting and retaining employee talent.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the roll out, communication and ongoing administration of new and existing compensation & benefits programs.
- Performs job evaluations/job leveling (slotting) utilizing traditional and/or leveling chart applications and recommends salary grades for new or revised jobs that have impact over the other entities in India.
- Provides recommendations on various pay actions (job offers, promotions, equity increases, bonus buyouts, etc) utilizing survey sources, market references, internal equity, and other data as appropriate.
- Manages special compensation and benefits projects (M&A, re-organizations, job leveling, job hierarchies, common merit dates, government audits, new government-mandated changes, etc)
- Provides local support on Cross Border Transfers/Short Term Assignments and International Relocations.
- Manages Management Incentives Plan under the country responsibility.
- Leads the implementation, administration and communication of core compensation and benefits programs (job evaluation/leveling, market data analysis and application, merit planning & annual incentive plans, long-term incentive plans) .

- Experience leading, coaching and working in a matrix work environment and partnering with BHR and Practice Center to achieve results

- Exceptional quantitative and diagnostic problem solving skills
- Thorough understanding of compensation & benefit budgets and funding requirements
Supervisory/ Management Responsibility
Reports to the – Head C&B Compensation and Benefits India.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Human Resources.
- Masters degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred.
- Certified Compensation Professional designation is a plus.
Experience/ Training recommended
- Five to seven years experience in Compensation and Benefits or human resources.
- External or internal consulting role
- Led a project or task force lead that had broad impact
- Exposure to one or more other areas of HR (benefits, talent acquisition, learning & development)
- Possesses solid knowledge in multiple aspects of compensation (base pay, long-term incentive programs, annual incentive programs, sales compensation programs and reward and recognition programs)
