Job Details:
Position : Sales Planning, Forecasting and MIS
Reporting to : Head - Marketing
Education Qualification : Engineering / Degree in Commerce
Years of Experience : 12 - 15 years in Sales forecasting, Inventory management, Sales Planning, MIS, Sales Volume budgeting
Roles and Responsibility:
- Owner of the PM process within company : Monthly programming cycle, with half month re forecast
- Owner of the PACQ process within company : Quad commercial action plans
- Keep track of budget numbers and ensure alignment in PM
- Aligning Model wise / Variant wise / Sub Variant wise / Colour wise sales and production as per market requirements
- Raise the flag well in time for potential problems - excess or under stock of models / variants
- Work closely with Product team to create, execute and evaluate impact of Market actions
- Achieve half yearly / year end stock norms for company
- Create MIS formats which provide a simple tool for Management understanding of daily progress in alignment with the sales team
- Maintain a clear line of communication with various stake holders - Local program, Central program, local company, Plant, company Logistics, company Product team, company finance etc
Purpose of the Job:
- Manage the Sales Forecasting, sales programming, Volume budgets, quarterly and quad commercial plans. Managing variants and model production as per market demand to ensure sales volume achievement with minimal inventory with company. Develop MIS formats in alliance with the sales team which will help
Brief Description of the Job:
- The gate keeper and watch dog for variant wise / model wise sales management and propose timely market actions in alliance with the Product team.
Required Skills:
- Inherent comfort in working with numbers and spreadsheets
- High level of understanding and ability to manage many levels and kinds of Rolling Forecasts
- Ability to understand internal issues and Market dynamics and come up with realistic proposals
- Ability to manage the Micro along with the Macro
- Manage several cross functional communication flows/ relationships/ opinions and filter down into proposals that satisfy all stakeholders
- Hunger and energy to establish systems and processes that will help the sales planning function contribute to the healthy growth of the organization
- Autonomy and a progressive, proactive approach
