Sr. Manager Legal

We have Immediate Job Opening with one of the India’s largest retail company. Within a span of 5+ years, they have opened over 250 points of sales across 22 Indian cities. An ever expanding geographical and retail presence, coupled with an in-depth understanding of the Indian retail environment, positions them as the preferred partner for international brands looking to foray into India.

Job Description:

Experience in handling 70% of legal activities and 30% of Company Secretary is a must.

Position: Sr. Manager Legal

Years of experience: 8-15 yrs

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Qualification: LLB+CS is a must

LEGAL

- Managing all the legal affairs of the Company including representing the company in judicial/ quasi judicial proceedings.

- Legal vetting of all contracts, agreements, MOU, NDA, POA including contracts and agreements.

- Liasioning with advocates various legal issues.

- Responsible for proper documentation executed by the company with various vendors, franchisee, and other service providers.

- Overseeing all types of legal matters of the company including consumer matters, Labour cases, litigation, IPR etc.

- Reply of legal notices and attend the matters at different forums including Excise, Customs, High Courts, MRTP Commission, Industrial Tribunals, Labour commissioner, State or Central commission, Consumer forums etc.

- Ensuring compliance to all rules and regulations with agencies like RBI, SEBI, ROC, MCA and such other bodies as may be required.

- Developing and implementing compliance policies, processes and procedures.

- Advising Management on critical legal issues.

- Coordinating with other departments in the company to ensure compliances

Company Secretary

- Managing all Secretarial activities of the group including convening and conducting of Board, Committee meeting & AGM, preparation of Agenda & Minutes, drafting Notice, Resolutions etc.

- Ensuring Compliance of all corporate laws.

- Maintaining all statutory records and registers under applicable laws.

- Preparing statutory compliance report for Management.

- Ensure all filings under different laws on time.
