A highly reputed Indian Manufacturing company having a sales turnover in excess of Rs. 1000 crores with headquarters in Mumbai and manufacturing operations within India has entrusted us with the selection of a Manager / Sr. Manager - Finance (Corporate Business Planning Department)

In line with the Group's philosophy of recruiting only the best, the person we are looking for needs to be intellectually outstanding and a knowledge-based leader in the area of Corporate Business Planning with 4-8 year's post-qualification experience in Industry. The company operates in the Oil & Gas space.

In keeping with changing business requirements, the Company has set up a Business Planning organization to facilitate and guide the SBU's so that the Company's objective in its requirement to move from retrospective to predictive business analysis can be successfully achieved.

Job Requirement:

The person will be independently responsible for the business planning activities for the company as a whole. He will report to the CFO / MD. The scope of duties would involve data analysis and models and include the following responsibilities:

- As a part of Business Planning team he / she would be required to participate in all the activities of Business Planning including development of independent business case for decision making.

- Compile and consolidate Monthly MIS, Annual Budgets, and projections for the Business units and interpret results and prepare various management reports for review. Will have to interact with the business (works, marketing, etc.) and respond to specific requirements of all internal / external customers.

- Analysis of Standalone and Consolidated Financial Results for Board / Audit Committee meetings on a Quarterly, Half yearly and Yearly basis.

- Analysis of Actual Profitability vis-a-vis Targets.

- Analysis and Validation of New Business cases/ New Projects.

- Prepare Market Reports for the Company management based on Flash report received from Industry bodies on a monthly basis.

- Comparative analysis of financial results against domestic and international competitors in order to serve as an input to the company's financial performance benchmark.

- Tracking information relating to Company's business performance, financial performance and the competitive scenario (Indian and Global Competition) from various sources like Auto Index, Sensex, etc. in order to benchmark stock performance and also identify opportunities for improvement.

- Development of independent business case for decision making.

- Strategy Support through inputs towards Risk assessment, future projections,

- New Product Business case preparation.

- Monitoring Subsidiary performance.

- Using the benchmark data to identify opportunities for improvement

Additional Requirements:

- In depth knowledge of finance and economics.

- Awareness of GDP growth rates, IIP growth rates, Auto Index, Sensex, etc.

- Practical knowledge of preparing financial statements.

- Financial / Business Modeling Skills

- Expertise in operating with MS excel/ word/ power point.

- Exposure to ERP environment and particularly in SAP will be added advantage

Qualifications:

- First Attempt CA

- Must have exposure to the Manufacturing sector in Business Strategy, Finance, or have worked as an EA to a CXO.
