Sr Manager/AVP - Accounts & Taxation - CA - NBFC

Company Profile: We have a vacancy as Sr.Manager-Accounts & Taxation based at Mumbai for our clients who are a large, rapidly growing, well-funded professionally managed NBFC organisation. The position reports to the CFO. The organisation is a non-deposit taking and non-systemically important NBFC registered with RBI. They have identified a niche in the lending business targeting small and medium sized retailers who find it difficult to get financed by traditional financial institutions. The loan offering is quite unique in terms of its parameters such as monetisation of future cash flows from payment cards swiped on Point-of-Sale terminal, flexibility in repayment, and partnership spirit.

It is a one-of-the-kind offering and will create a separate industry in the country. They have developed a specialised technology platform to cater to our special product. They also have CIBIL membership and access to consumer as well as commercial credit data. The company is driven by innovation, technology and entrepreneurial spirit in each sphere. The company has launched its business operations in Mumbai, has branches in Delhi & Bangalore with plans to establish presence all across India over the next three years.

The organisation is on an expansion mode. In the next 3-5 years, the Current book size of Rs.150 crores is expected to go to Rs 1,000 crores and headcount from 100 to 500 employees.

The company intends to develop a business framework which would not only encompass traditional lending segment but also have a strong customer relationship program. The development of this framework will lead to engagement programs which would be customised for merchants and hence have a relation which would be independent of the loan. This is expected to be a unique feature in the product bouquet and lead to opportunities in having a very strong fee based presence in the financials.

The company operates out of its head office in Mumbai. The company has been set up by two entrepreneurs who had earlier set up a leading transaction processing Infrastructure Company for card-based payments that grew into the market leader. They sold it to one of the biggest IT companies in the world in 2010.

Job Description: The position heads the Accounts & Taxation team and reports to the Director-Finance. The position has responsibility for heading and handling all Accounts & Taxation activities of the company including day-to-day accounts, month-end and annual finalization of all types of accounts including income & payables accounting of the company, statutory audits (Coordinating with auditors), Taxation, MIS & Reporting. Will lead a team of accountants.

Candidate Profile: CAs with 5 to 14 years of relevant exp.in NBFCs or BFSIs and heading all Accounts+Taxation functions including handling finalization of all types accounts including income accounting of the company, statutory audit (Coordinating with auditors), Taxation. Experience on Tally / SAP / proprietory accounting packages is desirable. Knowledge of relevant government / industry regulations is advantageous. Must be currently independently heading the accounts function & team. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
