Sr Manager - Audit Assurance Ops (10-15 yrs)

This exciting opportunity within GSS has arisen due to the expansion of the Assurance team at GSS, and will be based within the Assurance office in Bangalore.

We work as a part extended teams to some of the biggest companies in the world.

We currently are seeking qualified chartered accountants with over 10 years of experience for an excellent career and leadership opportunity as an Assurance Manager within GSS Assurance Team in Bangalore.
For the right individual, this provides an excellent opportunity to work in an internationally facing office and develop knowledge of international accounting and auditing principles, working in a high growth environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Qualified CA having 10+ years of work experience with minimum 4+ years in a Big 4 Audit firm working in Statutory Audit supporting Banking clients and currently working as a Manager with 2+ years / Senior Manager Statutory Audit & Assurance.

- Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Audit Seniors and Audit Associates and to ensure the team delivers high quality work

- Develop an understanding of Quality and Risk Management procedures, and ensure these are embedded in to the engagement team’s work.

- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of financial industry and be aware of technical issues or audit risks

- Work closely with onshore audit managers to transition new engagements and services to GSS Assurance whilst maintaining quality of service

- Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts in onshore office

- Proactively discuss work flow management with the onshore audit teams i, allocating resources to audit work and monitoring performance against standards.

- Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with GSS and onshore audit teams.

- Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize audit processes across a portfolio of clients

- Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.

- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback

- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to continually develop the team’s skills.
