Senior Sales Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales & Business Development - Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to identify and penetrate new markets while expanding business within existing client accounts.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and refine sales approaches.
- Set ambitious individual and team sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure a cohesive market approach and optimal customer experience.
- Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition department to identify, recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier sales talent.
- Provide continuous mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team training sessions, and performance reviews to support professional growth and ensure individual and team objectives are met or exceeded.
- Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve targets through effective goal setting, recognition, and incentive programs.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key clients, understanding their evolving needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Act as a senior point of contact for complex client negotiations and escalated issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing client portfolios.
- Reporting & Analysis - Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools effectively to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and forecast sales accurately.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the sales function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive sales experience, with a proven track record in a leadership or managerial role.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth in both new and established markets.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
