Square Panda - Director - Marketing (8-16 yrs)

Square Panda is an ed-tech start-up headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA with additional offices located in India and China. We are in a research-based Ed-Tech space, focusing on children's early literacy. We have 3000+ schools under our belt and are proud to cater the needs of English Language development of 70,000+ kids worldwide. Our multi-sensory neuroscience research-based phonics learning system comes equipped with educational games to teach children many essential skills. With a curriculum that has been specially adapted for Indian schools and children, we strive to empower beginner learners through phonics awareness.

We at Square Panda India are looking for a Marketing Director (reporting to Managing Director India) who will look after the marketing of Square Pandas products on Digital, Social, PR as well as any growth-based initiatives (both on-ground and online). Past experience in performance marketing is a strong plus. Someone who has built, scaled, and run a marketing team at a high-growth B2C company, preferably in Ed-tech. Past experience catering to Parents (e.g. at education startups) or Schools is a strong plus point.

The focus for the candidate is to generate business with best ROI through a combination of creative marketing hacks + ads, and building brand equity through organic / ongoing activities and as well familiar with data and decision making using a Business Intelligence layer.

Responsibilities

- Define, lead, and execute holistic go-to-market plans to drive adoption and growth.

- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share

- Synthesize and drive product strategy from interactions with schools and related stakeholders; build and manage an actionable product roadmap

- Launch solutions that demonstrate the advantages to maximise growth.

- Strong experience with digital marketing: Across channels including Google and Facebook. From choosing an audience, creating media plan, optimising campaigns to relevant KPI. (at least 4 years)

- Experience with social media account management (across Facebook, Instagram and twitter)

- Data driven: Knowledge on Google analytics, SQL, Firebase, Fb analytics and experience with report creations.

- SEO, SMS Marketing, Email Marketing, Influencer Marketing (parent / mom influencers on Insta, YouTube, etc.), Events - Contests / Competitions / Co-branding with other orgs and PR / News Coverage, Other - e.g. Newspaper Pamphlet Insertion - Team Management: Providing proper guidance and ensuring alignment between team members handling individual roles like Acquisition, Retention, Branding and Partnerships.

- Interest in content: Preferably but not necessarily Ed Tech content.

- Optional skills (familiar with illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD and Canva)

- KPI Planning and Execution: Making Marketing plans and ensuring appropriate execution to achieve decided targets.

- Company Growth: Working closely with the Management and interacting with investors ( if required ) to ensure growth for the company.

Desired Profile

- Min 4- 5 years experience in Ed-tech industry

- Experience in closely partnering for successful product revenue and adoption programs.

- Ability to prioritize + multi-task across multiple work-streams

- Ability to hire talented / creative individuals onto the Marketing team and lead the team.

- Excellent communication skills - able to take complex information and succinctly and effectively communicate both in verbal and written formats.

- Self-starter and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
