We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven director of Business Development to increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies. The responsibilities of the director of business development include recommending ways to improve operations planning, attending meetings with clients and advisors, and notifying partners of key business developments. You should also be able to assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data. To be successful as a director of business development, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. Ultimately, an exceptional director of business development should be apt at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The role is based out of our Corporate office in Gurgaon. What will you do ? - Identifies and develops new business opportunities in the ecommerce and allied industries. - Works closely with the CEO and other functional heads to develop market expansion strategies. - Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn't. - Leads sales, marketing, customer-service, and client relationship management teams. - Builds cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth. - Tracks emerging markets and trends. - Proposes and develops strategic partnerships. - Travels to vendor locations, distribution centers, and other locations. - Fulfills requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers. - Create contract frameworks and Negotiate the terms with clients to close sales - Compile, analyze, and interpret sales data to create Sales performance reports - Conducts webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile. - Acts as a company representative in trade shows and other related events What you must have ? - MBA degree preferably from IIM A/B/C, ISB or Tier 1 Institutes - 2 to 4 years of post-MBA experience in Enterprise Sales & Partnerships. - 3 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience in Business Development - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Exceptional leadership and management skills. - Effective communication and negotiation skills. - Strong business acumen. - Detail-oriented and persuasive.
