JOB SPECIFICATION

Position : GeneralManager- Human Resources

Location : Chennai

Reporting to : MD/CEO

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- To work closely with the CEO and play a critical role in driving, building and steering the human resource function with special focus on Implementing policies & processes, Talent Acquisition, Talent Retention, Learning and Development, creating a robust MIS system, building a Performance Management Culture, defining KRA- s, Goal Setting, Succession Planning, and building an internal training for the organization.

- Closely understand and develop organization vision, strategies and align HR objectives and initiatives

- Execute the strategic direction of HR, including implementation of high value-added HR policies and processes that support business goals and objectives.

- Advice, guide and support the Executive Team in adopting best HR Practice across the organization and ensure policies, procedures and practices conform to current employment legislation.

- Provide inputs on key strategic initiatives in the organization, related to growth, talent development, employee engagement and resourcing

- Contribute to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and talent acquisition

- Manage the overall HR processes and defining Performance management systems.

- Partner with business managers/top management and implement strategies for creating and ensuring talent pool, retention and engagement of associates for various business divisions and functions

- Manage the overall HR processes and defining Performance Management Systems for the organization

- Lay down guidelines for employee development, career growth and succession plans.

- Execute performance planning and development framework across the company, coach managers for goal setting, design KRA- s, performance review, feed-back system and performance improvement plans

- Develop learning and development strategy and objectives and framework to support continuous learning in the organization

- Identify Learning and development needs, devise and implement strategies to meet those needs and manage training delivery, measurement and follow-up as necessary

- Oversee the overall Learning and Development and thereby lead to development of a strong learning culture in the organization

- Develop a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organizational objectives

- Build an achievement oriented culture through effective Rewards & Recognition policies

- Develop administrative policy for improving work environment and service.

- Periodically assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets

- Lead the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture

- Create a robust MIS system in place.

- Develop and implement successful Human Resources systems that support the long term growth and transformation of the organization.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS :

- 10 to 15 years of experience in HR preferably from, FMCG, QSR, Retail or any consumer /service industry with MBA.

- Have a track record of providing strategic HR directions and ensuring implementation of Best HR practices.

- Strong HR Crisis managing efficiency

- Entrepreneurial thinking and strategic mind-set

- Excellent people management skills

- Team building and management abilities
