Warranty Claim Settlement Specialist
Responsibilities:
Claims Processing:
- Review and process warranty claims submitted by customers or dealers.
- Verify claim documentation, including service records and parts invoices.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with warranty policies and procedures.
Investigation and Analysis:
- Investigate the validity of warranty claims by analyzing repair histories and service reports.
- Identify root causes of product failures or issues reported under warranty.
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess claim validity and determine appropriate resolutions.
Negotiation and Settlement:
- Negotiate settlements with customers or dealers regarding warranty claims.
- Determine reimbursement amounts or approve warranty repairs based on established guidelines.
- Communicate settlement decisions to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of warranty claims, settlements, and related correspondence.
- Generate reports on claim trends, approval rates, and claim costs.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving warranty processes and reducing claim costs.
Customer Service:
- Liaise with customers, dealers, and service centers to facilitate timely resolution of warranty issues.
- Address inquiries and concerns regarding warranty claim status and decisions.
- Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the claims process.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, warranty terms, and legal requirements.
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor claim accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
- Implement corrective actions to address process gaps or compliance issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warranty claim processing or a related field.
- Knowledge of warranty policies, procedures, and automotive industry standards (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data analysis.
