Skills and requirements:
- 10 years of experience in a Public Relations agency
- Should have experience in managing both B2B and B2B PR (mandatory) preferably in technology domain
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships
- Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
- Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
- Ability to bring strong relations with key people or organization
- Be an amazing administrator, skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
Education / degrees:
- Should have a bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications or Marketing with a PR firm
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and implement PR strategies and key PR Interventions in line with business objectives, marketing initiatives
- Plan and budget for PR events, programs and marketing initiatives
- Build long-term relationships with all relevant stakeholders, such as media journalists, influencers, functional leads within Western Digital organization
- Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
- Leverage existing media and influencer relationships and cultivate new contacts within industry media
- Manage media inquiries and spokespersons interview requests
- Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
- Monitor corporate image frequently and ensure it follows company brand
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy
- Lead the planning and execution of Product Launches across product segments : launch and messaging counsel; develop media/ influencer/blogger lists, pitches, schedules; draft press releases and/or media alerts; deliver media coverage consistent with agreed upon KPIs.
- Manage the Contributed Content Program: create drafts, feedback and counsel on appropriate bylined themes; media/blogger outreach and placement of developed contributed articles.
- Manage the PR agency effectively with periodic performance reviews against planned deliverables.
