Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees, ensuring timely payments.

- Maintain employee records in payroll systems, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status or compensation.

- Calculate and record hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and withholding taxes.

- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns (941, 940, W-2s, etc.

- Manage garnishments, levies, and other third-party deductions in accordance with regulations.

- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports for accuracy.

- Prepare payroll-related reports for management and finance teams, including tax liabilities, benefits, and deductions.

- Assist in reconciling payroll accounts with general ledger entries.

- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to address payroll-related issues.

- Maintain payroll software systems and stay updated on relevant tax and payroll law changes.

- Assist in implementing process improvements for payroll and tax workflows.

- Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll documentation and reports.

- Ensure compliance with all payroll tax laws and regulations.

Requirements :

- 2-4 years of experience in U.S payroll processing and tax compliance.

- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and wage garnishments.

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.

- Proficiency in payroll software (e. , ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms).

- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and report generation.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and payroll reconciliation processes.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
