Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer for a leading Brand in the Building/Construction products

Group Profile : 

- Spartek Group is a pioneer in manufacturing and trading of Tiles and sanitary ware for over 60 years and it owns nationally recognized well-reputed brands SPARTEK and NEYCER in the building materials sector. 

- The Group has entered into several strategic partnerships with leading Companies in the world and is currently in the process of introducing new and innovative products to the market for the first time which will help reshape the construction/building sector including ready mix Concrete, precast slabs, walls & other bathroom/building products apart from existing ceramic tiles & sanitaryware products. In addition, the Group is in advanced stages to complete Rs 55 crore project for manufacture of Tableware/ Mugs with European collaboration. 

- The group is debt free which was achieved through its successful completion of the restructuring process and is now in the process of building professional management team to grow the business beyond Rs 500 crores over the next 3 years from different business verticals that are currently in the Group.

Who are we looking for?

- We are looking for a self driven individual, having experience in senior management positions, who can manage existing operations and launch 4 -5 new business verticals (each of which having a potential to reach annual Turnover in excess of Rs.100 crore), formulate strategic business and marketing plans and put in place a team of production/sales/finance personnel to efficiently man each of the verticals. Over time, as business grows, each of the verticals would become self sustaining Profit Centres.

- He would be a key member of the senior management team and will be responsible to maintain control of diverse business operations. He should have an entreprenurial mindset, strong on execution of business plan, be hands on as required for the start ups and turnarounds and build a good professional team. The Candidate should have leadership and communication skills, excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.

Responsibilities:

- Manage Operations of the group and the P&L responsibility to achieve as per targets set

- Understand the Products, Markets, meet potential Clients and identify decision makers in the Client organisations;

- Develop Sales and Business plan with product management, eCommerce and Brand positioning for different market segments to ensure improved sales and Brand awareness;

- Hire a Team of Sales executives and other managerial personnel for the new business verticals and train and mentor them;

- Develop a comprehensive Sales and Business Plan, implement strategies for Brand positioning, strengthening Dealer network, recruit and mentor sales executives and implement e-Commerce platform;

- Oversee daily operations of the different business verticals and work of executives (Production, Marketing, Sales, IT, HR, etc.);

- Lead employees to maximize performance and evaluate by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics;

- Establish Polices that promote the culture and vision of the Group;

- Manage relationships with all Stakeholders.

Desired Background: 

- Engineer/ MBA with more than 15 years experience.

- 1o + years experience in senior management decision making roles with P&L responsibility, having led a Team in achieving corporate goals and growing the business

- Prior work experience in Building/ Construction material/ Tableware, Home Products & FMCG/Consumer goods industries would be an added advantage.

Remuneration - Commensurate with experience and performance delivered to company, in the range of above Rs 30 lakhs/year inclusive of variable linked to performance. Company open to higher salary on variable linked to performance.
