We are looking for a CIO - PMS. Here's the detailed job profile and candidate background that we are looking for:

Role:

A. Manage Client Portfolios across ND-PMS, D-PMS and Advisory PMS:

a. Conduct macro research so as to take calls on asset allocation across domestic equities, domestic debt, gold, realty and global equities, for now.

b. Conduct detailed research and analysis - fundamental, quantitative, special situation and / or technical on underlying securities and products available for investing into for clients so as to have a list of "recommended ideas" at all times

c. Build and manage model portfolios, where need be, as a baseline for ND-PMS and Advisory PMS clients

d. Build and manage portfolios under D-PMS, including overseeing execution of transactions for D-PMS portfolios

B. Client Servicing and Communication:

a. Maintain high standards in Client advice and Servicing.

b. Communicating views / calls of the PMS team in a manner clients understand the same and decide to act, in a well-informed manner and suitably is the key. To that end, CIO - PMS should provide suitable "canned" communication material for PMS RMs to communicate views so as to ensure client portfolios remain managed in synchronisation with CIO calls and views. This can be by way of written material or other audio-visual means.

c. Engage over in-person or VC meetings with PMS RMs and clients, where need be, either on a 1-on-1 basis or on a curated call to achieve the end objective - ensuring clients understand house views and calls suitably

d. Ensure every client is met or engaged with at least once in a year by the PMS team (CIO or PMS RMs)

e. Ensure every PMS RM actually passes on relevant calls / views to clients as required by the CIO - PMS and required transaction actions are taken as per consent of clients.

C. Assist Acquiring RMs in selling All PMS offerings:

a. Meet prospects and clients as and when required and possible with RMs to help sell all PMS offerings

b. Provide soft-sales cover by way of appearance in media

c. Build an active, well-thought social media presence in line with preferred positioning for us

D. PMS team building and management

a. Hire and mentor PMS team members, when required, to effectively assist in the above roles. This includes PMS RMs

b. Allocating responsibilities and delivering output from PMS team members, as required

c. Performance evaluation of PMS team members.

d. Maintain a professional work environment & motivate team

E. Assist in building and managing client transaction execution process:

a. Engage with PMS Operations and Execution teams to help build a seamless process as required for the service to be delivered to PMS clients

b. Oversee operations of the execution process and make improvements or changes as and when needed.

H. Uphold Compliance & Internal Processes - The person would also be the Principal Officer of the PMS business and hence be responsible, with Compliance Officer for ensuring compliance with rules and regulations of the day.

4. Candidate Profile

A. Has over 10 years active multi-asset class portfolio research or portfolio management experience with high levels of understanding of domestic equities and domestic debt markets.

B. Entrepreneurial & Team Builder - loves the challenge (and the fun-ride) in building a business over the next 3-5 years.

C. Good communication skills - Ideally, someone that loves to blog or present in public forum.

D. Experience in administration will be desirable
