Function Description : - The corporate strategy function works towards improving SPNI's overall market & competitive position towards achieving long-term financial growth. The function works with the senior leadership in defining long-term organizational strategic goals, which lead to developing & executing focused strategic initiatives (both organic & inorganic) - Identify business opportunities; assist senior leadership in business transactions & allocation of resources - Build key stakeholder relationships (internal and external) - Track industry competition & maintain extensive knowledge of the overall business environment. Transform these into potential opportunities for growth or strategic interventions. Position Role & Responsibilities : - Support on business case/ business plan development, execution of ideas/transactions and provide solutions in a dynamic and changing environment - Ensure a structured and thorough approach to reviewing new business developments and opportunities through detailed and ironed out business plans. - Provide support to Head Corporate Strategy in gathering groundwork information for the preparation of pitch materials for internal as well as stakeholders at the home office. - Support execution of M&A transactions and joint ventures; assist in getting internal approvals. - Support all identified business development ideas in collaboration with the respective areas, considering the company's formulated strategy, desired positioning and existing economic and legal framework. - Monitor & document developments in the external environment and recommend strategic responses. Research industry trends/ themes and formulate implications for SPN's business. - Track competition on a weekly/monthly basis: Metrics & KPIs - broadcast & digital media. - Provide short and long-term strategic recommendations to the business's executives that are meant to develop and capitalize on business opportunities. Job Requirement : - Master's degree (preferably tier-1) or equivalent experience in Business Administration (Finance). - Minimum 7 years of working experience in a strategic management position, preferably working in a consulting environment. - M&E industry/digital media/OTT exposure preferable. - Experience in M&A transactions, corporate and business development and project management with relevant know-how in these areas is an added advantage. - Adept in problem-solving with strong financial analysis and modeling skills and a clear concept and understanding how to design and to perform financially as well as strategic analysis and implications to the business strategic position. - Experience in working with multiple stakeholders or as a part of cross-functional groups and demonstrated an ability to work with senior leadership. - Strong communication & presentation skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Multi-tasking abilities are crucial for this role.
