POSITION PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible to build strategy and roadmap for the organization IT Infrastructure, Applications and security platform, Implement and manage them within the agreed upon budget and SLA agreed upon with the internal customers. This role is also the touch points for IT portfolio of services to the internal customers to provide them the world class IT infrastructure, IT security, network, and end point interface f to ensure high internal customer satisfaction

- This position aims to build the organization IT infrastructure, Applications and Security platform, which is best in class.

- This position assumes significance in light of the operations of the organization being highly dependent and driven by technology

- This position plays a key role in establishing IT processes in the organization, and caters to a lot of last moment IT requirements to ensure high customer satisfaction

Education

- Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Computer Applications/Master of Computer Applications

- Certifications like ITIL, PMP, and IT security are desirable.

Experience:

- 15+ years- experience of managing IT Infrastructure & Security with an understanding of the media industry

- Design, rollout and management of state of the art technology infra - server, storage, network, security

- Specialist in cloud technologies - public/private/hybrid, experience with journey to cloud

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :

1. Management of IT Infrastructure & Applications (Data Centers, Server, Enterprise IT. Apps) :it infr

- Oversee operations of the data center, server and switch activity, server power utilization, server capacity planning, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise network and work towards ensuring zero downtime

- Manages and resolves any IT Infrastructure and enterprise network escalations by analyzing the issue and taking corrective actions

- Monitor all license requirements and seek renewals depending upon the scenario

2. IT Security :

- Anticipate any security related threats and ensure zero instances of any data breach and data loss

- Analyze the requirement for changes in existing IT policy, identify gaps and draft new IT policies including new technology implementation and provision of training to end users

- Review the vulnerability check reports on new applications and act as a checker for each new application implementation to ensure that there are no security issues

- Coordinate with the audit team and ensure presence of test evidences as required by the team

3. Managing IT facility :

- Oversee helpdesk support operations including end user IT and network support and work towards reducing the turnaround time leading to higher customer satisfaction

- Manage renewals of hardware maintenance contracts and hardware warranty with third party vendors by evaluating their offerings and selecting the best suited vendor for the organization

- Develop IT infrastructure and security budget post taking inputs on headcount, need for special software and hardware, maintenance, license, and warranty contract renewals

4. IT Business Analysis :

- Liaison with business to understand their infrastructure requirements

- Analyze business requirements and propose infrastructure solutions to meet these requirements

- Ensure timely and quality delivery of Infrastructure solutions to business to achieve high customer satisfaction

5. Vendor Management :

- Invite quotes from vendors for the organization's IT infrastructure and security related requirements; evaluate the offerings and finalize the most suitable vendor

- Review contract agreements with vendors in coordination with Legal, Commercial and Finance team to ensure favorable deal for the organization

- Track vendor performance and escalate in case of any issues

- Monitor the payments made to vendors and ensure timely payment of dues

6. IT Processes and Automation :

- Identify requirements by assessing gaps and initiate required IT interventions to close the same

- Oversee development and implementation of IT processes and automation depending on the requirement

7. Managing team performance:

- Track team performance at an overall and individual level and provide support/ guidance wherever required to ensure achievement of yearly plans

- Manage effective resource allocation, enhance the capability quotient of team members and drive higher team engagement through appropriate HR interventions
