Solutions Marketing Role - IT/Telecom (7-12 yrs)

Solutions Marketing (Communications or Telecom)


Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development and execution of solutions marketing strategies and programs

- Develop the positioning framework and commercialization strategy for solutions for various industries that may be product, platform or software based

- Collaborate with solution, marketing and sales teams to understand our existing client base, their buyer journeys, the value proposition driving sales, and new solution focus to properly message to target prospects, AR, and existing clients

- Lead or support market research, competitive analysis and customer insights projects

- Understand industry trends and current and upcoming competition

- Create a solution content toolkit for each solution based upon needs of supporting team, including internally-facing enablement materials, writing new externally available top of the funnel content, and linking to existing mid to bottom of the funnel content

- Leverage, enhance and extend core content and enablement tools generated by the business unit and corporate marketing teams

- Train the marketing and sales teams on marketing plans and new solution launches; develop sales tool kits and keep sales updated on marketing campaigns

- Continually demonstrate thought leadership through personal blogging, writing client case studies, pulling in external thought leaders to contribute to solution content, and staying up to speed on industry/solution news and distributing to the right influencers

- Understand market intelligence, trends, and industry knowledge; communicate to the broader organization; translate into the development of strategies and programs

- Utilize analytics to enhance customer segmentation and establish metrics to evaluate and track existing and new programs

- Refine the go-to-market strategy template to help align the solution development teams, marketing and sales around best practices in the commercialization of new solutions

- Contribute and provide insight into initiatives and programs led and executed by other teams (e.g., key account planning and analyst engagement)

- Visit customers, when requested by the regional teams, and also for the needs of portfolio strategy and implementation

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Marketing, Strategy or Business Management; MBA preferred

- Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience; with demonstrated capability in product, service or solution development and commercialization

- Experience in software and solutions focused on optimization or predictive analytics; experience with machine learning a plus

- Proven ability to write thought leadership pieces, blog posts, internal communications and enablement

- Highly collaborative and able to manage internal and external relationships effectively across functions and geographies

- Proven leadership skills, including decision facilitation, influencing and change management

- Ability to research and understand competitive positioning and suggest effective competitive differentiation

- Hands-on work style, coupled with highly effective project management, time management and results-orientation skills

- Excellent presentation skills

- Ability to work in a fast pace environment and willingness to do both strategic and tactical tasks, travel frequently to engage with business and clients

- Resilient; comfortable with ambiguity; able to plot a course and keep going despite inevitable setbacks
