Solution Architect - SAP MDG

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

- The SAP MDG Solution Architect is responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create solution architecture design and enterprise master data management (MDM) solutions to support global and enterprise master data requirements covering analytical as well as operational MDM.

- The role collaborates with Delivery Leads, Business Analysts, Data Feature Engineer, Enterprise Architects, and internal business and technology partners (both globally and regionally) and other stakeholders to understand the implications on solution architecture and ensure correct designs and implementations are in place to delivery timely and accurate master data to enterprise decision-making as well as operational processes.

- This role is viewed as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. Leads in developing innovative, technical solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems. Has strong knowledge in business and technical functions that are touch points with their area of expertise.

- Provides technical consulting on complex projects. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for other team members. Is knowledgeable in industry best practices in their area of expertise and uses resources outside to deliver solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Technical architect and leader of large and extra-large projects for enterprise operational projects for multiple master data domains, enterprise hierarchies, master data integration etc.

- Accountabilities for leading the overall design, managing project architectural artifacts, evaluating and making architecture recommendations, and performing code reviews across multiple functional and technical areas with wide range of complexity.

- Collaborate with project teams and architects on all aspects of MDG architecture (MDG data model, SAP MDG tools, MDG data integration, MDG operations, master data security, etc.)

- Delivers Solution delivery blueprints translating non-functional and functional requirements into solution designs, ensuring solution aligns with business goals and processes, uses and provides enterprise information consistently, integrates effectively with other applications, supports a common application environment and user interaction model, uses the common technology platform, and achieves enterprise level security, quality of service and scale.

- Coordinates solution architecture implementations with Enterprise Architects and other groups while leading design variances based upon business needs while ensuring artifacts are documented in enterprise architecture repository

- Manages engagements with vendors as they relate to evaluation, design and delivery of SAP MDG business capabilities

- Deliver per established methodologies for enterprise projects with an MDG component, such as technical requirements, design patterns, code reviews and testing procedures

- Present to change control boards for validated systems to implement development into production

- Regularly interact with leadership on project work status and priority setting

- Transfer knowledge to support resources to ensure environment supportability, stability and sustainability

- Mentors others to complete Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives; consults and shares knowledge across org; awareness of industry trends
