Job title Solution Architect - Public Safety

Location Bangalore

Reports to Senior Director, Social Innovation (APAC)

Job purpose To be the Subject Matter Expert for all technical requirements relating to the Hitachi Data Systems Public Safety offering plus have the capability to deliver & implement the solution that has been sold to the customer.

General

- Developing strong relationships with Country Management, Account Managers, Pre-Sales and Services organisations to

- Contribute, maintain and communicate the Public Safety strategy within APAC

- Identify, develop and maintain Public Safety specific Alliances and Relationships

- Assist in identification, business development and opportunity progression

- Engaging and assisting Hitachi Groups to develop solutions aligned with Hitachi Data Systems

- Provide business and technical intelligence

- Solution Co-development and collaboration

- Leverage greater Hitachi solutions where appropriate

- Engaging with Global Public Safety team

- Participate in global solution development, marketing, certification and opportunities where appropriate

- Regionalising global Public Safety collateral where applicable and to what makes - sense- in the APAC context.

- Engaging in global forums, including technical committees and solution development

- Support the Development of new and existing OEM, GSI and ISV relationships and ecosystems

- Develop Public Safety end-to-end delivery capability across APAC

- Support marketing activities throughput APAC by

- Represent our client at high profile trade shows as required.

- Conduct in-country marketing events including customer visits and co-development with in-country Account management and SEs

- Develop or contribute to white papers/case studies/customer references

- Focusing on driving HDS into new Public Safety opportunities and markets and increasing market share through solution development,

- Work with pre-sales, sales operations and services organisations to develop GTM positions and industry solutions

- Identify new customers in Public Safety and agreed targeted industry verticals

- Developing strong relationships within targeted customers and establish trusted advisor status

- Advise HDS management on market and business conditions/opportunities, providing internal consulting to HDS account teams in the proposal and tender processes by shaping responses, providing due diligence, defining and promoting the inclusion of HDS consulting capabilities and building business cases to support and justify proposed solutions, termed as value enablement

Responsibilities

- Support in Country Public Safety sales activity to identify and qualify new opportunities

- Architect state-of-the-art technical solutions to complex public safety, smart city and video surveillance systems requirements

- Be able to effectively implement the architected solution if required.

- Understand the customers- business, IT infrastructure, current technical issues and strategy

- Give formal presentations to customers or prospects on business solution issues when required

- Plan, analyse and define high-level technology strategies and solutions through strong technical expertise and an understanding of the Public Safety business and industry.

- Be able to write & respond to proposals, perform site surveys

- Model & communicate the financial implications of various architectural options to allow project/client executives to make decisions

- Understand the customer's business issues, strategy, trends and opportunities

- Maintain knowledge, skills and market awareness in all aspects relating to Public Safety

- Develop or contribute to developing consulting thought leadership and capabilities including publications, white paper, case studies, consulting services and tools, best practices, trainings, and etc.

- Develop new alliances and eco-systems that are relevant to HDS Public Safety

- Assist in developing operational plans to increase market share

- Able to travel in Asia Pacific or within defined territory

- Perform other duties as required or directed by manager

Profile

- Minimum 10 year experience in public safety industry

- Deep knowledge of end-to-end Public Safety technology solutions

- Demonstrated ability to emerge as "trusted advisor" for executive-level IT clients

- Strong knowledge of Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS) architectures and associated technologies such as cameras and transmission protocols

- Experience in implementations of Intelligent Video Surveillance Systems.

- Exposure and knowledge of analytics capabilities within the Intelligent surveillance industry

- Strong understanding of how IVS technologies apply across multiple industries from Critical Infrastructure, Law Enforcement and smart cities.
