Description :

- Build a trusted advisory relationship with engineers and engage with Managers, Engineering leaders, CTO and CPO

- Understand business priorities, technical objections, and product strategies to deliver business value and resolve blockers.

- Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platform services, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize open source cloud effectiveness on multiple hyperscalers like AWS, Azure and GCP

- Lead a talented team of engineers to build and deliver a highly available, web-scale microservices platform.

- Own availability and performance of mission-critical services, advice and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.

- Partner with engineering owners and leaders to create a vision and roadmap for the team.

- Be a hands-on engineering leader managing projects and day-to-day activities of the team in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Defining and Driving Performance and Availability metrics to measure and meet high operational standards for the services.

- Be a servant leader understanding and removing impediments for the team.

- Ensuring the quality of the engineering services by defining correct engineering processes and quality control checks for the team to execute within the given timelines

Profile :

- 8+ years of relevant engineering work experience and 2+ years of enterprise architecture experience.

- Hands-on coder, polyglot (Javascript, Java, C, Go, Scala, Kotlin, Swift etc) functional programming would be an added advantage.

- Practice and encourage TDD. Understand and implement Domain Driven Design for effective microservices implementation

- Experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale/high-traffic applications is a MUST.

- Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed systems.

- Experience in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development.

- Experience of building open source cloud infrastructure, and working with Kubernetes

- Experience with RDBMS (MySQL, Prostgres), NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Elastic, Cassandra etc), Data Engineering/Log processing pipelines (Kafka, Spark).

- Experience with SOA/Microservices mandatory with Node.js on AWS is an added advantage

- Experience with any other hyperscaler like GCP or Azure is an added advantage

- Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.

- Understanding of large-scale computing solutions and the enterprise technology buying and evaluation process.

- Knowledge of tools like Chef, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes for managing the configuration of your deployed workloads is encouraged.

- Understanding of the current state of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models

- Retained, mentored and hired senior engineers and leaders with a track record of building product engineering teams.

- Envision scale of growth and be obsessed with automating everything
